TREZOR Password Manager now compatible with Model T
Protect your passwords seamlessly with the same technology that keeps your cryptocurrencies safe. Today, you can start doing that even with your brand new TREZOR Model T! And that is not all, more features are coming with this update.
Apart from Model T support, the Password Manager now supports multiple devices. When launching the application, you can select which TREZOR device you want to work with. Do you have one for personal and one for work cases? Now you can separate password management as well.
To use TREZOR Password Manager with Model T, you will need to have the latest version of TREZOR Bridge installed. Please visit the TREZOR Beta Wallet to update your Bridge to version 2.0.12.
If you use the TREZOR Chrome Extension, please uninstall it first before installing the TREZOR Bridge.
The TREZOR Password Manager also comes with a new refreshed and polished design. Enjoy the modern interface and straightforward user interface. Everything is clear from the first look; there is no need for a lengthy user manual to use the application.
Security-wise, the Password Manager has also improved. For instance, the clipboard will be automatically cleared after 20 seconds, avoiding instances of accidental copy-paste. The passwords remain securely encrypted by your TREZOR, stored in the cloud storage of your choice: Dropbox or Google Drive.
So what do you need to do to start using the new version? First of all, the TREZOR Password Manager now relies on the new TREZOR Bridge, compatible beginning with the version 2.0.12 of the communication tool. To avoid any possible issues, please uninstall TREZOR Chrome extension first and then install the Bridge from TREZOR Wallet.
What is coming next? Our developers are tirelessly working on the most frequently requested feature: imports and exports of passwords from other password managers. For Model T users, we are also working on the on-device storage of passwords, independent of the cloud services. These features will be coming soon!
