TREZOR Packaging Refresh
Every process has to be updated and maintained; refreshed according to its new needs. This applies even to the simplest things, such as the packaging of a product. Indeed, even TREZOR’s packaging has undergone some cosmetic changes recently.
UPDATE (November 2017): Starting with devices manufactured in November 2017, each new device will have a small QR code sticker, containing the manufacturing info, such as the batch number and date of manufacture. This sticker is located on the device and under the device case. Devices are also shipped with bootloader version 1.3.2.

Here is the list of all the changes in detail:
- The TREZOR logo does not say “TREZOR The Bitcoin Safe” anymore, but was reduced to “TREZOR” only.
- “The Hardware Bitcoin Wallet” has been changed to “The original hardware wallet.”
- The package slightly grew in size (100 x 100 x 13 mm).
- Overall, there is less text on the package, making the package feel less cluttered.
- The back side features a sticker with a barcode and UPC code.
- The landing website in the instructions has been changed to trezor.io/start, instead of mytrezor.com (for now it still redirects to wallet.mytrezor.com). This is a part of the planned transfer of all our websites under trezor.io.
- All of the content is inside one box.
- Starting from this batch, TREZOR is shipped with bootloader 1.3.1 and no firmware. This to make sure your TREZOR will always be running the correct FW, and that the first FW will be the most up-to-date one. (In any case, if your TREZOR runs an unofficial firmware, it will display a warning on boot up.)
- Built-in test for device buttons is available from bootloader version 1.3.0. Just press a button for 2+ seconds and the indicator on the screen should show up.
