Last summer days of 2016 have quietly gone by, but the community of TREZOR did not care. They were too busy tinkering and hacking away at the TREZOR2 Hackathon in Prague. Some wonderful things were made, and they are the most important things that remain after the event. And of course, memories, such as these:

Preparations

SatoshiLabs team has been setting up the venue at Paralelni Polis, the bitcoin center of Prague. Once all tables, cables and food were in place, our guests started to appear.

First Hackers

Our eager attendees arrived early, which turned out to be much better for the registration. No one was hesitant to talk and to meet new people; everyone came fully enthusiastic about the days to come. Those who did not want to the venue yet enjoyed the delicious coffee in the Bitcoin Coffee downstairs.

Time to get started…

A little past 6.30pm, it was time to start the presentation and see what awaited.

Presentation!

Alena and Stick took charge of the Keynote presentation, delivering a short yet thorough introduction of the team, our amazing community and, of course, the TREZOR. However, the main dish of the evening was the announcement of the next generation, the TREZOR 2.

Soon enough, the slides with the all-new device came up.

Self-Introductions

After the presentation, it was the guests’ turn to introduce themselves.

…and that’s how Hackathon started

Nothing else was in the way of the hacking… Well, maybe some more conversation.

TREZOR 2 Hands-On

The Hackathon attendees were the first ones among the public to touch and try out the prototype of the new TREZOR.

Into Teams and Let’s Code!

Day 2

The second day started slowly with some coffee from the Bitcoin Coffee downstairs. But some did not relent and sat down immediately, working away.
