We are happy to announce that the first Model Ts have left our warehouse and are on their way to the first customers! At this joyous occasion, we would like to thank all of you who pre-ordered the Model T, as well as all of our fans who believed in us and continue to support us. We have poured every single last piece of our knowledge and effort into the next generation hardware wallet, the Model T, and hope that you will enjoy the result of our work.

With that being said, we are not going on any vacation just yet. We dedicate ourselves to continue development, preparing new features and integrations for the Model T. At the same time, we are still working on bringing new functions to the TREZOR One, making sure both are well supported. Our mission is, after all, to make security easy.

As we dispatch all the Model T pre-orders, we are also setting up the e-shop for the regular sale of our new hardware wallets. There is no estimated date yet, but we will let you know as soon as possible.

When you first hold the TREZOR Model T, the first thing you will notice is the staple of the Model T — its large touchscreen. Plug your new TREZOR in, and the screen will illuminate you, showing off its vibrant colors, waiting for your instructions. Together with its naturally intuitive interface, the Model T offers an unparalleled experience for all users alike. Keeping your assets secure has never been so easy.

Introducing improved security.

As the TREZOR T sports a touchscreen, all operations requiring entry of confidential data will be done exclusively on the device screen. You can be sure no one can see your PIN or your recovery seed, just remember to cover the TREZOR when you enter them. Thanks to the on-device PIN entry, the Model T does not need to communicate with your computer before you unlock it with your correct PIN. In fact, it will only draw power, until you authenticate yourself, leaving nothing to chance.

Advanced functions and coin support.

TREZOR T runs on an entirely new firmware, written from scratch, dubbed the TREZOR Core. When we developed this new firmware, we leveraged from all the past experiences we have earned while working on different projects, including the original TREZOR One.

Continuing our tradition and faith in open-source code, the source for TREZOR Core is also available online, for review, development, or adaptation. But that is not the only merit of the new system. The most important feature of Core is that it was written with expansibility in mind, allowing for safer and easier implementation of various new functions that were previously difficult to program. This means that we are looking at expanded support for different new coins and functions in TREZOR T, down the road.

Reliable backup & recovery.

The entire device is backed up by a simple 12-word phrase, the recovery seed, compatible with the common standards for HD wallets (BIP32/39/44). Restore your seed to a new device, and you can start managing your wallet right away. Of course, you can also restore a 24-word seed on the TREZOR T.
