Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson
This book is not an easy read, but if you want a realistic depiction of cryptocurrency in science fiction, this is it. It is dense with descriptions of cryptography, cryptosecurity, and data havens. You always meant to read this, didn’t you? Now you have time to devote to this 918 page sci-fi classic.
Crypto (2019)
This film didn’t get the best reviews, and if you blinked you probably missed its release in early 2019. But it stars Kurt Russell, so for many people this movie will be required viewing, so bad that it’s good.
